Agree with above, Ep 5 was fantastic. Liam Mcintyre definately seemed to be a bit more comfortable delivering his lines and had a bit more presence. Was great to see Gannicus back of course although I think one of the reasons this episode was so good was due to the epic arena fights which make up the majority of Season 1's scraps as well as at the Ludus. I think the fact they're 'free' now has created problems setting up some great fights, vs random Roman soldiers isn't as gripping as against gladiators

Watch the spoilers there mate. This episode hasn't aired in the UK yet. May want to edit out a certain persons name.

Absolute top notch episode, great pacing to it. I can't wait until next weeks now. Starz have nailed this format and This is what Camelot should have been. It shows the importance of a lead actor no matter how good the writing or legend. New Spartacus is doing well, never was going to be easy to replace Andy, look at Ashton trying to replace Charlie Sheen on 2.5!

Yep, a stunning episode that. Up there with the best I've ever seen in a series.

Looked like a huge transitional episode too. A major-ish death, and as Spartacus said himself, the end of the "games" - looks like we are at the business point of the uprising now.

Interested in seeing how long Gannicus sticks around for, and if Oenamaus chooses to stay too; that's quite a formidable little team they have

I recon Gannicus will get killed off soon. In the real battle didn't he die pretty soon ?

Agree with everyone, best ep this season so far!

Edge of my seat the whole time even though i could tell how it would end!

Liam is certainly starting to own the part a little more. Hope he can keep it up!

I personally enjoy the drama around the Romans plotting and scheming more than the bloody fights, hence loved this one.

Am I right to think that Jupiter's male chicken has been absent reference ?

Episode 6: Chosen Path

Back to the slow boringness i thought especially compared to last weeks episode... Good changes happening in the story but it seemed like a very sat around waiting episode

Interested in the Ashur Crew and how they will stand against the Gladiators

6/10

Kind of agree, the scenes with Spartacus and his crew were dull (with only Gannicus providing anything of note) but the Glaber and Ashur stuff was great.

That pair have taken a bigger step to the darkside which was needed, as I was feeling a bit too much sympathy for Glaber upto this point. Now he's back to being a b******.

One other point, I hope to Jupiters member that the whole Crixus/Naeva story ends soon. Perhaps she'll end all our misery and top herself.

I thought she was going to do that in this Episode, when shes sat with that sword... but that would have made the past 6 Episodes pointless.

Really enjoying the season now. Liam really is Spartacus for me now, and the juicy political maneuverings and duplicity of the women, Glaber and Ashur are superb. But, like others, am bored with Naevia.

Also had a bit of a giggle at the Jonathan Woss type speech impediment of the Gannicus actor, he let it out a bit in the forest (it was full on when he played a gangster in Underbelly), as it just got me thinking of Life of Brian

I was hoping she would! I said to the mrs that Crixus should just get rid and get on with chopping up Romans already! The actress who plays her is poor compared to the previous lady.

Still undecided about Liam so far. He is good, but Andy will always be Spartacus for me I think. Hope Gannicus sticks around as I think that after the Gods season, he could have taken over just as well!

Glaber and Ashur are my favourite characters this series. The shows comes to life when they're involved.

Spartacus' finishing move on the German - OMFG!

Takes the trophy for most vomit enducing kill so far.

Best episode yet this series, Glaber is turning into a right evil scumbag and Gannicus getting MAAAAAD.

Episode 7: Sacramentum - 9/10 (US)

Worth a high score for the Sparty move and Gannicus makes his decision in style in another great episode

This season has became really good after a poor first few episodes, and lets face it lol even the new Sparty is much better now. Anyone who plays that roll now though will be second to Andy Whitfield.

Episode 7: Sacramentum

A Bit more of a pace to this episode compared to last weeks which i was hoping to stay after episode 5's Speed!

Some nice tasty gore in there also and the story is really getting on now! I really don't see Ashurs 'Crew' having a chance in this really... but it shall be interesting.

I think next weeks episode the Romans will find the slaves 'Stronghold' as they have been there way to long now... sitting, hunting... easy life.

And I Cant wait for next weeks episode after that Ending

8/10
