Children of Dune

I watched the second of the Dune mini series 'children of dune' on the Hallmark channel a couple of nights back and as a long time fan of the books, did'nt think too much of it - I certainly would'nt buy the dvd as David Lynch's translation had great vision but was poorly executed but the tv mini series for all its use of cgi to create sweeping panoramic vistas, space, the cities and most importantly, the worms, was spoilt by the human element - the worst offender being the guy who plays Gurney Halleck - strewth!
Despite that, its a good way to kill a couple of idle hours but does anyone know if the other dune books are being fimed or is this as far as it goes?

Do you know when children of Dune will be repeated from the beginning?

I saw the mini-series of Dune and thought it was much better than the original film. Although I like it not enough to buy the DVD I definitely want to see children of Dune some time.

Children of dune is screened regularly on the hallmark channel usually from 0200 to 0400 - you'll have to check the schedules as the current run has just finished.
Dune, if memory serves is screened on the sci fi channel.

It's probably not worth adapting any further Dune sequels as they grew increasingly rarified and didactic: try reading God Emperor of Dune and imagining a tv series.

God, it would be dull.
