Person of Interest

Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ) has signed on to crime drama pilot Person of Interest. Written/exec produced by Christopher Nolan’s brother Jonah Nolan and executive produced by J.J. Abrams. The project centers on ex-CIA agent Reese (Caviezel), presumed dead, who teams up with reclusive billionaire Finch (Michael Emerson) to prevent violent crimes in New York City.

First look at Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson in 'Person of Interest,' from J.J. Abrams and Jonathan Nolan.

I haven't seen Jim Caviezel in that much but I thought he was terrible in The Prisoner.

Episode 1: Pilot - 7.8/10

A procedural series that may get tiresome if it's the same structure every week. Whilst the pilot was entertaining and knowing more about the system that Michael Emerson's character was involved in was interesting, it's not pushing any new boundaries. I will give it a few more episodes to decide, hopefully with better stories, character flashbacks and twists they might have something worth watching. I like both leading men in Caviezel and Emerson, so i hope this gets better.

It was quite enjoyable. Will give it a few more episodes to see how it develops.

sadly i have doubts about this show already. given its premise i found it rather linear and followed a similar formula to the cop/detective shows. I hope they form a good character arc for caviezel as I think I can tell where the story arc is headed. Would love the show to prove me wrong though

Episode 2: Ghosts - 7.5/10

A generic plot, but solid episode, not sure if i can go the distance with this show, unless we get a curve ball.

I like the show a bit, but I have a feeling it will probably get axed.

I really enjoyed the 2 eps I caught up with tonight, a bit like Human Target but more teeth and strangely less death. It seems, just like Terminator 2, leg shots are the order of the day.

Well JC doesn't F about does he!

This is an enjoyable show, don't mind watching it, thought I would hate Emerson but his tone and demeanor along with the limp take it away from the boring norm.

It shouldn't, but his walk makes me chuckle, his arms sort of flap about

Watched the first episode last night and thought it was quite good. Does feel that it could get quite samey pretty quickly so maybe only good for a season or 2 (depending how many they make in a season).

Will watch Episode 2 tonight, hoping they start getting into some decent back story to run with the episodes as well

I watched episode 3 and I think I've giving this one a skip. It does feel very samey and while it is not bad, it is only a 5/10 in my book. I feel they could have done a lot more with the story. This feels a bit like the A-Team/Knight Rider etc style from the 80s.

I'm keeping with it for a few more episodes - up to 4 now. It's not bad but I agree that it does feel a little samey and the characters really need to lighten up a bit but I think it has potential and might get better.
Presuming it doesn't get axed and maybe has 12-14 episodes then I'll stick with it at least for season 1

Paige Turco showed up in the latest episode, nice to see her.

An arc is starting to materialise.

Figured out why I am not totally liking this program and its because JC is using the Batman 'soft speaking at all times' approach to the character and its really really annoying

I found the episodes have improved and hopefully Elias will introduce some spice and they'll cross paths again several times.
