Well I've just finished episode 5 and as the previous comment said its the same format each week. I was hoping things would progress but I can't see it happening. I can't even see it being renewed for a 2nd season, so on that basis I've removed it from my planner

I seem to remember that there was an announcement at the end of last week's episode that it would be back in 2 weeks.

I assumed that the US is having one of it's all-too-frequent miss-an-episode week for whatever reason, and we're watching it shortly after it goes out in the US.

Nope, just Sky for some reason?

Touch (a Titles & Air Dates Guide)

I managed to source episode 8 from somewhere else. Not watched it yet.

I gave up, it's not that it was badly acted or anything, it was just to much like listen to Jamiroquai.

Everything was solid, looked and sounded good but ultimately it felt like watching the same episode.

i think what the problem is..its quite easy to predict what will happen in each episode..and how they will tie them together at the end, there doesn't seem any surprises, and the very loose threads that have referred back to old stories, such as the Japanese girls, just seem random and thrown in, and not really relevant to newer episodes...

I love the titles at the beginning more than anything else. and the story with the kid and his dad should have picked up by now, basically its just the numbers thing, but nothing to develop the relationship between the two of them or anything relating to why his has this ability, that might be an interesting twist to explore and develop. instead of just an annoying curly headed kid, who is like rainman junior, that cant be touched or do anything else but write in books and see numbers that have hidden meanings...

i can tell im tired..so i will go to bed now!...(never post when youre tired ha ha, it just sounds negative...

i guess we can all switch off, so we have a choice..i just expected more from touch to be honest. ..

Well this has officially now been picked up by Fox for a 2nd season. So I'm gonna stick with it and see where it goes.

Jon Cassar has just tweeted this by the way, incase anyone wonders where I got the info from.

I've given up although we still have the series recorded. I've watched some others like Alcatraz and Awake and there's a little something in each one running in the background, but in Touch I've not noticed anything, just a well made well acted show but repetitive.

I'm guessing im one of the few that liked this then and the way it all came together in the last episode with a good lead in to the next series.
Yes, a bit repetitive on a few episodes but the story line running underneath builds in the last few.

after giving up on it myself after about 5 episodes my ladyfriend talked me into watching the rest of it in one sitting and I have to admit, the last half of the series did pull things together with an interesting through-line where they've established a "bigger picture" of what's been going on. We've got the last episode to watch tonight and it's got me interested in it again, enough to at least start watching season 2. It's not quite as light weight now as when it first started but I still feel it was really floundering until

Jack Bauer found Murtaugh's secret room with the Jewish diamond dealer
... it still hasn't grabbed me enough to remember everyones character names though apart from Jake, I still find him really annoying. And it's still easy to predict what's going to happen once you're 5 mins into each episode, but the big picture they've established is actually quite interesting to watch unfold.
I guess they felt the audience needed a few episodes to ground themselves, and to establish the characters and their behaviour patterns before starting to feed us the meatier stuff. But if the first half had been like the second half's turned out I wouldn't have stopped watching it

I think it definitely picked up in the last few episodes and off the back of those, I'll watch the start of season 2 and see how we go.
It wasn't a brilliant series, but it was worth watching for me. Some of it was a little too predictable, but the bigger picture is actually quite interesting.

I'm interested to see where they take it with Season 2. I don't think I could cope with the same as Season 1 again, just in a new city. I want to see some real forward progress with the main story.

I think they need to get back to mainly focusing on the 2 main characters working together, with good banter.

Upto now this season they have either been part of seperate stories or multiple other characters in play at the same time.

I guess they had to setup the new structure and now that's done maybe it will settle back to the old format.

Going to give this a miss.

Forgot how bad an actor Sutherland is.

The number of times he shouted Jake and dammit got on my nerves

This show is sadly not that great, really surprised it got another season. I watched that 13th episode and it was so unnecessary and boring.

Kindly bin this show and let Kiefer start filming some 24 movies,

By all rights it shouldn't have got another series, but there was something strangely appealing about it.

I'll wait for the whole of season 2 to finish though this time before I watch it. Not convinced it will be any different, or any better yet.

This is being broadcast this Tuesday 12th March at 11pm (ominous sign?) on Sky One.

Repeated Saturday 1.15am if you've missed this notice.

I've been finding season 2 to be a lot better than season 1. I wasn't sure I'd bother with the second season when the first finished as it got far too repetitive, but I'm glad I have. It's turned into a kind of laid back 24 now and doesn't follow the episode structure they were sticking to rigidly through season 1.

It's hard to know quite what to say even with spoiler tags, but if you got bored of the format of the first season the same way I did, season 2's definitely worth checking out. It makes the time I invested in season 1 worthwhile (even though I didn't feel like it was at the time)
