Hi,
If you are into horror or extreme cinema, or just the downright bizarre, then Sky has announced the long-awaited "Horror Channel"!
It will transmit 7-days-a-week, between 6pm and 6am, although the exact Sky Digital channel position has not yet been decided. (Expect it to be in the 100's or 200's though!)
For full details, including schedules, check out
this link here.
The channel is, surprisingly, free-to-air, and will start from 6pm Monday 3rd May! Most product should be uncut, uncensored and in their original language (with English subtitles) and widescreen formats where possible!
For May 2004, everything shown will be films, with no series or documentaries. But this will change from June, according to news reports from the station itself, with classic horror and fantasy horror shows like "Friday The 13th: The Series", "Freddy's Nightmares", and classic black-and-white shows too!
Films will range from the classic Fritz Lang "M" and stuff from the 1920's and 1930's, via Hammer movies of the 50's-70's, upto the most recent blood-curdlers like "Cradle Of Fear" and "Sacred Flesh", via numerous Nasties from Fulci, Argento and Bava!
This could be an awesome channel! E-mail them if you have any programming suggestions, and tell them what they're doing right too! The earlier we viewers get in, the better the chances of us seeing what we want!
