Nothing compares to the first. Second was very good also, but then it jumped the shark.

Season 2 - from discovering about the 'others' in Season one, we got into the whole Dharma stuff, the island had a history etc.

Season 5 is a very close second though - the time travel story was excellent.

Season 6 ended very strongly too, im amazed how Lost managed to answer every question it posed. Brilliant.

Season 1 for me. It prompted a huge number of possible scenarios that subsequently we were let down over.

I really enjoyed season 5 and went for that. One of my favourites, if not favourite episodes was in that season (if I remember correctly! and thinking about it I think it was season 4???) and that was The Constant. Season 2 I also enjoyed a lot as things really got going.

As good as season 1 was, when I rewatched it I found it to be quite slow compared to later seasons. I still couldnt believe they dedicated most of an episode to Sawyers headaches! But that kind of character development was what the show was all about for me really. I didnt fully realise it until after the final episode.

Last edited by mart1977; 30-06-2010 at 3:43 PM. Reason: Dunno what season The Constant episode appeared!

season 1 without a doubt. it was a cracking introduction to what were fundamentally a brilliant set of characters. the not knowing anything either, and anticipating the what was to come was brilliant.

unfortunately apart from season 5, the rest as they say is history.

I liked season 3 the most. I know there's a lot of hate for it for it being slow, whatever, but I watched most of it in a block so I didn't have that problem. Great twist at the end, great to finally see the Others "camp" and at that point there was still charecterisation and well thought out plot developments.

The proceeding three seasons post writers strike (happened half way through season four) seemed like they were wrote by different people than the first three. The 6th was awful.

Seasons 1 and 5 were my favorites.

Think I enjoyed S1 slighly more, but the idea behind season 5 was pretty interesting and Desmond and Ben were not in S1, and are my two favorite characters, so voted for S5.

Season 1 by a mile. Same as 24, nothing can compare to that first season.

For Lost, everything was so knew and whilst a lot of questions arose, you had hope that they were going to be answered in future seasons.

Season 1 was truly brilliant and groundbreaking, season 2 was okay, season 3 was dire......and I stopped watching it and watched the last episode and I'm glad I didn't invest any more time in it than I did. It lost its way due to the sheer success of the show and the middle seasons were mostly filler, which was a shame as I really did enjoy season 1 and 2.

I watched them with some considerable gaps so i can;t even remember what Season featured what and so on.

From recent memory, I think S5 was teriffic. Off course S1 was great and the opening scene of S2 was fantastic.

If the polls around in a year i'll post again after i've watched all seasons back to back in HD.

1 and 2 were the best with 2 showing signs of the rot to come.. The rest is just a joke and revenue making exercise for the studio with plot and ideas simply abandoned for farce..

I loved 'em all but if I was held at gunpoint and asked to pick one then I'd probably say Season 5 as I loved all the *spoilers* time travel shenanigans and seeing some of the back story to the Dharma Initiative even if the whole build up to the Incident turned out to be "what's happened, happened" and didn't result in an alternate time line at all as heavily hinted by Season 6 *end of spoilers*.

She is (was) rather nice but like the next poster said, a bit wooden.

Clare for me though. (shame she went missing for a while!).

Beautiful
