Wouldn't mind doing the visual effects for Zaphod Beeblebrox though.
That will be fun.

Yep it's done by Disney but it doesn't necessarily mean that it will be a Disney type film, after all they did do Pulp Fiction

doesn't that depend on which of the affiliates are doing it, like pulp fiction was miramax, a company owned by disney not actually disney itself.

yep that what I was trying to say, but ppl were thinking that it's a Disney film just because the distributor and financor for the project is owned by Disney

Aparently the production companies involed are:-
Hammer & Tongs [gb]
Spyglass Entertainment [us]
and it's distributor so far is only Walt Disney Pictures (all according to imdb)

So maybe they (Disney) don't see the need to distance themselves from this film as they did (understanably) with Pulp Fiction or they may not have confirmed distributors yet

Whatever about the casting................
and the fact that Disney are involved................

I just had a look at the website for Hammer and Tongs.
Barring excessive studio interference I think there's a good chance that everything will be OK.

Or not most likely.

This was my favourite series of books after LOTR as a pimply youth. I can't see them keeping the whimsy and sheer 'Englishness' of the books intact.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed all the same.

But I did that with judge Dredd and look what happened to that.
