Has Kevin Smith gone all Richard Curtis? I hope not but judging by this trailer, the signs aren't looking good.

Jersey Girl - The American Version Of Jack and Sarah

Where were Jay and Silent Bob?

The studio was smart to hold this one back until the stink of Gigli started to die down. Unfortunately, I think the stink is still lingering, so the movie will still suffer from Bennifer syndrome.

They've been retired. The "Jersey Trilogy", Smiths first 5 films really, were all based around the same world (if you will). Jersey Girl isn't related to it. Or that's how I understood it anyhow.

Yeah I heard that as well, maybe they will have a cameo!

Unless this is a complete 'new direction'

Hopefully it will be as good as / similar style to Chasing Amy which was the best of the Jersey movies.

I think Jersey Girl has already been finished, and the studios held it back. Mr Smith is already working on the new Fletch movie, the clerks annimated movie, and another project I forget
