Cool Garrow's Law

Total forgot this series was on and missed the first 2 episodes and just found out theres only 4 in the sieries.
Anyway what I saw of it last night was good and a twist that the cases are not in present day but in the past.

Unfortunatly the program was not running on time and I missed the end, can an one tell me how it did end I just saw up to SPOILER the villain was in the stocks and the shop keeper paid his underling to do somthing and he picked a small rock up, looked as though someone was goung to end up with a broken skull

Is the episode or series being repeated?

Re: Garrow's Law

No repeats scheduled I am afraid but as this is on BBC HD as well as BBC 1 and they repeat everything (quite a lot) it will surely be on there again.

It has been very enjoyable and it is a shame it was sacrificed against Doc Martin to low ratings that might well scupper any further series.

Hope not.

Cool Re: Garrow's Law

Just missed 30 seconds would have seen it if they not put 3 lots of adverts before it or the tail of a overuning program

Makes a change to see a flawed main charater thats suppose to be a hero.

Cool Re: Garrow's Law

It only over ran by about 30 second in the story but somthing happend that made the story vital to the plot near the end. An other 3 min was taken up by titles and what the story was about next week.

There seems to be a thread running though the series but there is a main story theat got started and concluded in episode 3. $ has to be the same.

SPOILER - this was how it ended:

The thieftaker was found guilty and put into the stocks for 2 hours. One of the thieftaker's colleagues was hired by the mother of the person killed to threw a large stone at the thieftakers head which killed him.

It ended with the thieftaker's wig being put back on his bloodied head by the stone
thrower.

I just watched the first 2 episodes of this over the weekend and i think it is excellent. If you like period drama and/or courtroom drama, then i advise checking this out if possible.

Garrow himself is really engaging. This is good stuff and i hope it returns.

Thanks for posting. I would have probably missed it and it is an excellent drama.

It will be interesting to see the balance between the law cases and romance part. Whilst i still enjoyed the 2nd series, i thought it suffered from being too much about the romance. Albeit, i accept that it became connected ie the final court case.

Thats the law thr TV forum works under.

By the way the last episode although no life was in danger and no action was involved I was on the edge of my seat with tension and my heart was metaphorically in my mouth.
Now thats damn good writing.

Anybody watching the new series think its not as good as the last 2, may be its the personal story seems not as good as the last one the last one to me was very griping.

Having established the characters, the flavour of the times, the dress and social codes over two seasons; the third season of Garrow's Law maybe has become familiar - a little too comfortable!

Seriously, I'm pleased the storylines are mainly concerned with law and the defence strategy adopted by Garrow. The personal stuff should remain a sideline IMO and not become the headline otherwise the series will end up continuously self-perpetuating like Coronation Street.

Exactly how i feel. i thought that the second series had too much personal stuff, albeit made for a gripping final case.

So far i think the balance is right for S3.

I found this series solid and very enjoyable. Sir Arthur was my favourite character.

All nicely wrapped up at the end. So nice, that i wondered if that was the final series.
