Episode 1 - 8.5/10

E4's heroes with ASBOs was enjoyable, dark and crude. A good opening sequence off bad weather. The episode sometimes OTT, but fun at times with tongue firmly in cheek. Are the misfits are gifted, or cursed with new power abilities..

Watched it last night...some of the worst acting I think I have ever seen on TV...the cast completely ruined a half decent plot. I am undecided if I can watch the next episode.

Funny, I thought it was quite good. Nice to see something sci-fi coming out of the UK that's nothing to do with Dr Who.

The characters were truly awful.........but then they were supposed to be and with that in mind they were quite compelling in an odd way.

I ended up quite plesantly surprised and will be watching at least the next episode.

(although that said the mouthy one was very annoying, all be it intentionally, and I had trouble understanding the chav one)

not sure what this was supposed to be ... looks like it was trying to tick several boxes (comedy, thriller/horror/sci-fi drama) but failed to tick any imho, and the acting was indeed abysmal
- I smiled once, when the chav was hearing her dog's thoughts

at least No Heroics ticked a box

Yep thats the only thing i found remotely appealing. Bad acting etc but for some reason i couldnt switch channel! Will prob watch next week just out of curiosity!

I thought the first episode was good and showed promise, and LOVED the second one. Hopefully the standard will continue.

And besides the turn-back-time bloke I didnt really notice any bad acting, was too busy enjoying the dialog.

I wasn't going to go out my way to watch the second ep after my Humax series link recorded the 1st repeat and not the second but I did and yeah the second ep built very nicely on the first.

We are seeing how the storm affected individuals by providing real world consequences to their wishes/desires as in thinking no one sees you so you can turn invisible or a huge regret and the ability with time and of course a highly sexed young woman who thinks everyone wants her and well now they can do
The expansion of the effect beyond the immediate was perfect, both the young/old woman (now that was a sex scene for folks who think SGU has sex scenes ) and the puppy dog effect, nice to see a werewolf with a twist

Soild episode. Shygirl18 twist was good. So is the curly head Nathan a werewolf then?, as in the intro he has a werewolf shadow, and later wen digging up the bodies i thought he was going to cough up a fur ball The bald power, not good one!

That is exactly what i thought!
After the first episode i was really set on finding out what his power was and when someone mentioned about the shadown in the title sequence i really thought that too haha.

Episode 4

Quite enjoyable as the focus was mainly on one character this week, it was the butterfly effect as Curtis changed the past to help an ex girlfriend. Not the outcome he was expecting though.

apparently their powers are all ironic. the chav can hear peoples' thoughts cos she's a slapper. and the black girl can have any guy she wants cos she used to think that, curtis can turn back time or whatever cos that mistake ruined his career and simon is invisible cos he's invisible lol.
and the irish guy doesnt have one cos he's just a dick...

or so my mate told me

although tonight i thought that the irish guy's power might be that he can never die, cos he was the only one who wasn't dead when curtis had came back and fixed it for him and his girlfriend...

Episode 6 (final) 8.5/10 - Last week was good too.

Great episode, was not expecting that outcome, how cold an ending, though not sure how they will resolve that, if that all

The Guardian hailed Misfits as "brilliant, sharp and funny", and they are right

Series 2 has been confirmed

The first episode I found them quite annoying but by the second episode I though it was great. Nathan has gone from being an annoying t*** to being a complete funny annoying t*** he really doesnt care what he says . Even the chav has grown on me (although I really find her voice annoying)

Great ending


One thing that did confuse me, who was the guy on the bmx bike? At one point I thought it was an alternate Nathan, that his power was to split in two.

I was thinking something like that towards the end too ... something like Future Hiro Nathan

lots of loose ends, non-resolutions, unexplained things etc though that annoy me ... perhaps they were already guaranteed a second series
