Yep..starts next Monday 16th November...ColorCode Glasses required.

Programmes include...

The Queen in 3D
Derren Brown in 3D
Flesh For Frankenstein in 3D
Friday the 13th part 3 in 3D
The Greatest 3D moments in 3D

I'm looking forward to watching some of these even if it does utilise ColorCode, which is basically just another form of the old anaglyph 3D method...dodgy colours, dodgy brightness, ghosting and the resulting eyestrain.

This Channel 4 3D week should be seen as just a bit of fun and in no way represents the quality of where the latest 3D technology currently is.

Question Re: Channel 4 3D week.

HI,

This might seem a really dumb question, but.... if you record the 3D broadcasts via Sky Plus, VCR or a DVD Recorder, will you still be able to view (and get) the 3D effect from the recordings, with the relevant 3D glasses?

Or does the 3D effect only work via the live broadcast itself?

Pooch
The 3D effect won't be anything to do with the live broadcast, so you should be fine recording them and watching them later on

Ha ha....how about Amityville 3D too, or classics like House of Wax or Dial M For Murder?
Disappointed that they are actually repeating Friday the 13th part 3 within two days!! What??

Exclamation Re: Channel 4 3D week.

HI,

There's not much scheduled, but here's what's been planned so far!

Monday 16th
9-10pm The Queen - Part 1 (documentary)
10-1110pm Derren Brown's The 3D Magic Spectacular

Tuesday 17th
9-10pm The Queen - Part 2 (documentary)
1240-235am FILM: Flesh For Frankenstein (18-certificate sex, gore and horror flick from directors Andy Warhol and Paul Morrissey; hopefully the full, uncut version, but may be cut even though it's C4; showing for the first time on UK TV in 3D; in English and French with English subs)

Friday 20th
8-10pm The Queen - Parts 1 and 2 together
10-1155pm FILM: Friday The 13th Part 3D (18-certificate horror flick, showing uncut and in anamorphic 1.85:1, showing for the first time in 3D on UK TV)

Saturday 21st
DETAILS NOT YET CONFIRMED

Sunday 22nd
Time and Channel Not Confirmed Yet - 100 Best 3D Moments (A countdown of the 100 best 3D moments, but no other details as to what this will entail, or how it will work, e.g. whole show in 3D, or just the clips in 3D.)

Hardly the most groundbreaking experimental set of shows, but the 2 films will be interesting, if they are shown completely uncut!

Re: Channel 4 3D week.

Cheers for that summary Pooch there is absolutely nothing there worth getting the 3 D glasses for. Unless they're the same ones needed to watch that 3 D episode of Chuck? Can anyone confirm this?
