Around the World in 80 Days (BBC)

Anyone watch this last night, the first episode was fun with Frank Skinner & Lee Mack. In aid off Children in Need, its a relay travel programme. They had eight days to make it from the Reform Club in London to the Turkey/Iraq border where they hand over to team two, Apprentice stars Nick Hewer and Saira Kahn.

BBC iPlayer - Around the World in 80 Days: Episode 1

- The Apprentice' Nick Hewer and Saira Khan (leg two); Tues 20th Oct
- Countryfile presenters Julia Bradbury and Matt Baker (leg three);
- BBC Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull and BBC News presenter Louise Minchin (leg four);
- Torchwood and West End star John Barrowman and TV and radio presenter Myleene Klass (leg five)
- Shane Richie together with actress and comedienne Josie Lawrence (leg six).

Ps

Anyone watching 'Charley Boorman - Sydney to Tokyo By Any Means' btw?

Re: Around the World in 80 Days (BBC)

I thought Michael Palin was going to do a new series of this.

If Palin's not in it, then no I have not see it.

Is it any good?

Compared to other shows, it lacks the depth, getting from A-B is the objective as there is a time limit, so very little time to meet people and see locations, unlike Charley Boorman's series, which is more informative.

'Charley Boorman - Sydney to Tokyo By Any Means'

The first episode off Boorman was great Electric cross country dirt bikes, snakes, and more.
