I think we neeed a sub forum

I always read the forums but latley I find it so hard to contribute or know what to read .

So many of the threads are by guys who are watching things in US time and if I start watching something I think oh ill look at the forums and find people are discussing 10 episodes ahead . Shows like Flash Forward have a massive thread already its only been 2 episodes in UK.

BTW im not have a go at Anyone at all noone is doing anything wrong. Im just pointing out its hard to know what to read or look at .

Some threads I read and think oh thats sounds great then find out its not coming on UK TV for ages if at all.

I think mabye a US speed sub forum would be a good idea then if people want to discuss at that speed or the UK speed they have a choice or even look at the forum to see what is comming but would be nice if we was on teh same page as it were .

You don't need a sub forum just seperate threads stating uk or us viewing

Re: I think we neeed a sub forum

Yeah traditionally (all of a few years ) the gap between US and UK broadcasts naturally created two threads but this year it seems to be the fashion to have the broadcasts very close together and existing threads purely discussing the upcoming show has morphed into the episode chats.

In terms of the UK pace anyone is free to start a new thread and if it's clearly market UK pace then I suspect people will start to use it but then again when there is only a few days between the broadcasts (Flash Forward, SG:U) it just takes some restraint by a UK pacer

I agree but Redwing has a point as it's not always possible to control a thread as US or UK only. An example is my own Defying Gravity thread. I posted it when I first heard of it. At the time I didn't imagine it would be aired elsewhere first. I gather quite a few of the posts in the thread are by those who have seen most if not all the episodes and the BBC have yet to show it. I can't go into my own thread for fear of finding out plot details.

Had there been a sub forum then that thread would have remained UK only and a second thread could have been started for those who wish to discuss the episodes they've watched. The BBC are showing trailers for it now so a UK only version of the thread maybe an idea but that was my intention for the original.

Best wishes
Bri
