Fools and Horses Prequel !

A one of special is happening with teenage versions of all the old characters with Nicholas Lyndhurst playing his dad Freddy "the frog" Robdal.

Sounds really good to me im looking forward to it.

Think I know what you mean . The reason i think it may be good is that its a one off . If it was a series it may be like green green grass or whatever it is.

But I agree with some concerns . What do you think of the actors playing the parts? I dont really know them (the couple mentioned).

It'll be worth watching, as long as the beeb don't hype it up and they go easy on the canned laughter!

It will be awful, just leave great programmes alone, there's no need to be messing with these. We pay millions for people to come up with new ideas.

Re: Fools and Horses Prequel !

I'm not too sure they should be doing this. I thought Green Green Grass was awful and the later Christmas episodes of Only Fools were very weak in my view.

Re: Fools and Horses Prequel !

one-off? ... yeah, right
- remember that other one-off, First Of The Summer Wine?

I can't believe they axe good stuff like Not Going Out, just to have dated unimaginative turd like Lyndhurst's recent BBC sitcom (with Celia Imrie as his mother-in-law), My Family, and old dinosaurs like this and Green Green Grass.

They've already crapped on the memory of OFAH with the last three revival specials.

I'm glad someone else feels the same as me about those specials, they should have stopped at their peak.

Add me to the list. When they found and sold the watch and became millionaires, that was the perfect way to end things, no need to bring it back after that.

As you say a perfect end. To return to the old flat in exactly the same way as they were before that was absurd.

All the best

Re: Fools and Horses Prequel !

It was the perfect ending, but that illegal immigrant 'STEVE' was also good afterwards.

I think you mean Gary?

I couldn't get on with any of the ones after the real last episode with the watch. The rest were just not really funny for me.
