La Liga in HD?

Just watched Revista and they were advertising this weekends game and Bob (or Rob) said something along the lines of "We're in HD" and explicitly mentiond that the matches will be shown on "HD2". When they mention something will be shown on this channel it's actually in HD.

So, is La Liga finally gone HD?

According to the link below we are getting 2 matches on Saturday on HD3 and 2 on Sunday on HD2?

Well judging by the excellent SD pictures of the first few weeks matches I would say they have been using an HD feed downscaled. If the matches are to be in HD then thats awsome. The best news all year from sky if this is true. lets just wait and see though.

^^ I also noticed that the SD feeds were much better, but I thought the time of day had something to do with it. But more significantly, I was watching Revista and when they switched Live to Graham Hunter who was, as always, standing on some random balcony, the screen ratio changed to 4:3. Maybe this means they finally have the HD studio.

may explain why last weekends game was advertised on the EPG as HD, but wasn't broadcast in HD. Maybe they were a week to early with the EPG

On The EPG for Sunday, both games are advertised as HD on the EPG. If they actually are HD then well done sky

Big shame tonight's Inter Barca game isn't, easily the tie of the round (tho Milan Real is quite tasty too

Youre probably looking at Saturdays games, which arent flagged as HD.

The Sky website is usually reliable. It says not in HD.

This is fantastic news if it is true. If not then it only seems to be a week or two away. The two Sunday games are flagged up as HD on the EPG and the corresponding SD broadcasts contain the narrative "also in HD". I would guess that we will see La Liga in HD on Sunday. Can't wait to watch.

On Sky sports HD1 this morning, the goals on sunday presenter said "live spanish football tonight in HD".

At last the best leage in the world goes HD. Well done Sky. Also as well it appears the mid week games will be HD as well as next saturdays games.

Whilst I wouldnt say it was stunning, it was certainly a welcomed improvement.

I thought it looked really good. Not quite on a par with the PQ from Sky's UK matches but it was far better than I had expected. I would certainly be more than satisfied if they kept this standard up.

HD is awesome and it looks like midweek too. Spanish football has been my favourite from the day l had Sky installed despite the rubbish picture at the time...

Same here, I would much rather watch a Spanish match than a Premier League game. Hopefully those fuzzy, internet type broadcasts of La Liga are now a thing of the past.

I think Madrid Xerez game looked very nice. I've wanted sky to broadcast this exiting league in HD for so long so was very happy to see it finally. Looking forward to racing and barca tonight in HD and tomorrow yellow submarines and madrid which is gonna be tasty.

The Saturday games are flagged as HD but resvista and EPG says sunday games are just SD, Anyone know why sunday are only SD?

According to the EPG the first Sunday match is HD but the second one isn't. Hopefully it's just an oversight.
