I'm gonna keep this thread near the top of the page anyway. Tragic there is so little chatter for what I firmly believe is the best drama on TV right now.
I was suprised that the start of season two was so poorly advertised.
That said I never watch adverts, so maybe that had something to do with it

Great show though and agree its one of the best on at the moment.

Must be just you

I've been seeing coming soon trailers on various Sky channels for at least the last 4-6 weeks if not longer.

That is good news. One of the best shows on TV at the moment. Glorious visuals, brilliant acting and a gripping storyline. Some of the most memorable characters I've ever seen too - Richard the assassin, Al Capone (the scouser who plays him is amazing!), Agent Van Alden (creepiest dude on TV!), Nucky, James Dormity's mum, that crazy broad who talks like she's had one too many. So many to choose from.

What is the story with the actress who plays Lucy (the crazy ex of Nucky)? Is she told to act like that or is she not right in the head in RL?

That Lucy character is the only one who really annoys me, I sometimes have to fast forward through her speeches

Anyone else getting sound drop outs? Not big ones. Little more than a stutter but quite a few.

People having been complaining about sound dropouts on certain channels for a while on Sky's own support forums. Plenty of complaints about the Atlantic Channel.

Just watched episode 2. Stunning. Chalky is just Omar in a suit

Looking forward to seeing how this season pans out. Looks like one of cross and double-cross. Particularly like the change in Jimmy's character. Great writing.

Saturdays episode was superb.

From "Omar's" cell scene to the very end in the park, mixed in with the political/criminal brew, all made for a fantastic hour and a bit

Still one of the best shows I've seen for quite some time. Up there with my faves of The Wire and The Shield.

Yep my faves are the Wire and Shield too.

That scene in the cell was absolutely brilliant. Top class writing and acting all round. Loved it. And loved how they developed it over the episode.

Just watched episode 5. Incredible and pretty gruesome too..

Reminds me very much of Deadwood, which is very highly recommended.

There were a couple of 'Nope! nope! nope!' moments

It is ticking along nicely this season. Looking forward to how this all plays out.

The scene between Dormity's mum and the Commodore (inventor of the computer of the same name, no less) was one of the best I've seen in the last decade on TV. Brilliant acting from Gretchen Mol and the guy who plays the Commodore. Very intense scene.

Whenever I see Manny Horvitz on screen I just keep hearing Steven Seagal saying "has anybody seen Richie" over and over again

ssssssssssssssspoilers!

I didnt see it coming aswell! although it was obvious in hindsight. Brilliant end to the series though which I thought was a bit too slow and complicated, however the finale tied everything up brilliantly.

I entertained the idea they might but

didnt think they'd be willing to off such an integral character
, must admit i did think there was one more episode after this though so was expecting everything padded for another hour

This and The Sopranos to me represent the absolute cream of US drama...they share the same writers and directors and I love the storylines, casting, acting, lighting, camera angles...even the opening credits theme music (by The Stones I believe, long-time favourites of Martin Scorsese) is superb.
This series alone is worth my Sky subscription.

How has season two been? I found season one very slow and fairly average viewing. Has the pace picked up and is season two better than the first season?

I prefer the 2nd series...it's grittier and there's a bit more depth to the characters.
The FBI guy (forget his name) is one unhinged son of a bitch and one of the scariest characters on Tv when he loses it.

Planning to watch it this evening. I thought episode 11 was a bit of a damp squib so looking forward to a big finale.

Sorry I've just realised that the episode I've just watched on Atlantic is Episode 10 so I'm a couple behind with the looks of things!
