Re: X-factor 2009

Just incase people get confused about "live" theve already done the auditions or just finishing now . I know a few people who went a couple of months ago to the live auditions . They said it was really good and named some good ones to watch for but I cant remember them.

Be interesting to see how it transfers to the screen I assume its like Britains got talent .

Re: X-factor 2009

I know a lot of contestants had to re audition as initially they did it like 2008, but after seeing how well the BGT show went down with an audience and music etc, Simon wanted to change the format to be more similar.

Now it's almost an identical show, not much distinction between them.

if the live audience takes against an act it will be interesting to see if the judges are willing to keep their pets in

I think the judges will be influenced by the audience's reaction to each contestant. After the usual sob story the judges may be inclined to keep people in

Re: X-factor 2009

Mmmmm. Not really impressed. Don't know whether it's the new way the auditions are done or I could be getting bored with the show. One thing it did do was lack the humour of previous auditions (and for Razor, the tears ). No doubt I'll be glued to it for the whole run and it might get better.

That guy that sang at the end was awesome. A performance you would expect to see on the live shows.

Re: X-factor 2009

I think they've completely ruined the the whole principle of the programme - start in a little room and then work up to the larger shows. The programme also contained lots of padding - endless shots of judges, crowds, venues, etc. This is most definitely one for the PVR. I watched all the bits of interest in 20 minutes.

I certainly agree about the guy at the end. Here he is for anyone that missed him:

Re: X-factor 2009

I really wanted to hate this new audition format but I couldn't! Don't get me wrong I much prefer the old format and just think I am watching Britains Got Talent Part 2, still though by no means disastrous.

That Danyl guy didn't prove much vocally to me, good performer but on a small room in a usual audition would it be that impressive? Doubt it!

Re: X-factor 2009

I wasn't convinced about Danyls voice at all to be honest, it was an electric performance, polished, confident and his timing belonged to an old pro but I think it masked an "ok" vocal performance, not bad, by a long shot but not amazing by any means.

Will be interesting to see what he pulls out of the bag from here, it's going to be very hard indeed to impress from here, he's sort of hit final show level in his first audition.

The format, I didn't care for it at all, I guess we will all just forget about it but right now I find it irrratating, might as well call it Britains Got X-Factor and have done with it.

I've missed the build up to this years show and only seen some of last nights as I'm in the back o beyond at the minute.

Will they carry this format across the UK or will it revert back to the old style auditions ??

I too liked Danyl (best version of that song I,ve heard to date) and Stacy (unusual song choice for a girl her age but very good )
Like Simon Cowell also hated the Gonks (the Irish lads with hairstyles by dyson vacuum cleaners)

The two irish lads were ******s imo, Stacey and Danyl were awesome, Danyl in particular was incredible. I like the new auditions, didn't think i would, but after Danyls audition i can see why they changed. So much more energy with the crowd.

I was shocked that no one cried in the opening episode. Maybe we will have that coming later on.

Agreed. I didnt like the new format, it also felt very rushed. Didnt they used to spend a whole episode in one place? Every 10 minutes they seemed to be in a different part of the country.

Anyway I am pleased X-Factor is back on the box.

Of course we have that to come to still It wouldn't be X-Factor without the sob stories.

I think year by year it is showing less of the actual auditions, and more of the judges etc.
