Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 2 (US + Spoilers)

A look at two characters appearing in season 2.

A heartless blaster-for-hire, Cad Bane is quintessentially cold, cruel and calculating - the best of his kind in all the galaxy.

First glimpsed in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, Bossk is a towering reptilian mercenary, known throughout the galaxy for his insatiable bloodlust and his heavy armament.

Does anyone actually watch this show?

I saw two episodes from the first series and I thought it was really poor. I was very disappointed.

I watched the whole first season. Generally is was OK, some good episodes mixed with some filler. Problem is its all very episodic. Just lots of short stories but you don't feel like the overall story is going anywhere. And the Jedi ALWAYS win, so no real tension. The final straw was the season finale, which was anything but a season finale. It was just another episode, no resolution of anything, no cliffhanger, no reason to watch the 2nd season, so I'm not going to bother.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 2 (US + Spoilers)

Thats what I didn't like about the few episodes I saw. Everything was wrapped up in an episode and it felt way to cheesy and kiddie for me. It was a total let down if I am honest.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 2 (US + Spoilers)

Though, to be fair, it is based on Star Wars which is just more kiddie fair.

I watched the whole 1st season and it was okayish. I see Sky are now showing the movie version. Is this an edited selection from the series, or a new story with the same look and feel?

Regards

Mark

The content was produced for the TV series but was never used but repackaged for a theatrical movie release and as a lead in to the later TV show so yes it is seperate from the tv show.
I didn't like the movie too much but I thought the series was pretty good, yes of course it pandered to the younger generation but Star Wars has not kept pace with the original audience, mass market money comes first with Lucas

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 2 (US + Spoilers)

Wasn't sure about it after the first couple of episodes but i thought series 1 gradually improved as it went along.

Will definately be watching series 2.
