I would guess the first episode is on 3rd April, being Easter Saturday.

The latest news is that it will start during Easter. So your guess would appear to be correct.

I've just watched it for the first time and thought it was a very good little promo. Although it's vey short both Smith and Gillan come across very well.

BBC America will start broadcasting the new series on 17/4/10. There's still no firm date for the UK.

A new man in charge and a new Dr should certainly change the style. Lets hope it makes it even better. A few of Moffat's characters will be returning

All the best

Hope he's better at football than he is at comedy. Maybe not going off that pic.

Roll on Easter, trailer looks decent.

Aye, make him taller so his weight to height ratio looks less rotund.

I see he's making his way back to the Hamptons, one of my mates brother in law used to be flat mates with Matt Smith They may still be for all I know), I'm trying to score an autograph for my boys, they are blown away by the fact he's from Northampton

I'd imagine he spends most of his time in Wales now.

So officially (and it seems on the DVD/BD releases) it is Series 5?
... despite Moffat preferring it to be M Smith/Dr 11 - Series 1 ... or Series 31/32 (depending whether or not the 2009 specials are regarded as a series)

I remember Leela, but what's this puppy thing? I tried searching YouTube but couldn't find a video. Or are there post Leela bikinis? I think it's important we expand on these points please!

I do agree the new doctor and assistant seem very young from the publicity shots, so is this just a continuation of the push into the (pre)teen market? Any indications if we're going to get lots of running down corridors with farting aliens, or is it going to be "Blink" type stories?

Blink was written by Steven Moffat who's now the head man on the show and he'll be writing more of it than anyone else. He wanted an older Doctor but he says Matt Smith was far and away the best of the actors he saw. Moffat is a huge fan of the show and he wouldn't push it in a certain direction just to get a certain audience. He really believes Smith is the best man for the job.

All the best

See The Caves of Androzani and Peri.

The Caves of Androzani - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Davison has joked on several occasions of how he was "upstaged" by Nicola Bryant (Peri) in his last major scene as the Doctor. Before the regeneration hallucination occurs, Davison is lying on the floor and his head is resting by Bryant, who is kneeling beside him. As he is delivering his last few lines, Bryant's loose fitting outfit prominently displays her cleavage.
