With Gina Bellman (as Sophie Devereaux) carefully hiding (Big Coats etc) her somewhat obvious pregnancy...or did she just get fat?

yep/nope ... she is really pregnant

Good to have the team back, though perhaps could have been a bit more of a flashy (rather than just that car flipping in the air) and action-packed episode for a season-opener to get them all together again (like the pilot).

Surely that insurance bloke that shut them down last season is going to catch up with them again?

The car CGI was embarrassing, seriously bad

The rest of the show was very entertaining, it's good to have the show back and yeah lots of baggy clothing for Gina.

... fun with a rival crew, guest starring American Werewolf and Wesley Crusher, and a Trek in-joke to boot ... + a hot ex-Mossad agent

Has been renewed for a third season

Looks like the pregnant castmember may be taking a break from the next few eps; and midseason finale in a couple of weeks, then 7 more eps in early 2010

There is a lot to be said for smaller networks (owned by bigger ones) who don't always have the cash to throw away shows and of course the demands in terms of viewers are so much lower. It's not even as if being on TNT or USA etc and the corresponding budget means we get lower quality product because as with Hollywood some times money gets spent for the sake of spending.

I thought the bomb gave them a good out for Sophie if they wanted to have her missing for a while and of course it could have been played more serious, no doubt she isn't quite far enough along yet to justify missing some mid-season eps.
No sure Will has the face for a beard and he has put some pics up on his flicker.

Noa Tishby was very impressive

Blimey I had no idea that was good old Wesley lol. It was nice to see Griffin Dunne show up in this episode, I thought he was sticking with directing these days. I've always enjoyed convoluted heist stories. It's a shame the one with Ray Liotta was cancelled.
