Sci Fi HD - Audio delay all the time or just me?

Morning,

Just had Sky HD installed 10 days ago and quite impressed with the HD output from my Amstrad box. Also not a to bad selection of HD stuff to watch but in a months time I probably chabge my mind.

Most of the HD channels are ok with the lip sync, watched 'House' last night and it was spot on. However I find that Sci Fi HD is always out, the audio is always behind the picture which is very distracting.

As most of the other channels are fine could this just be a broadcasting issue, So do you guy's also have audio delay on Sci Fi HD?

If you all experience the same then it's down to Sky, if it's just me then it's my Sky box?

I've got a Samsung box and Pysch is always out of sync, very annoying.

I find Sci-Fi HD the only HD channel that I ever have any weirdness with ,maybe it's because they can't make their minds up weather they'll broadcast in 4:3 or 16:9 ,but I find if I fast forward through the ads (& go through the sponsorship ad to the programme )& resume playback the picture freezes but the sound continues until I take the recording back to the start of the sponsorship ad when it then plays properly

Re: Sci Fi HD - Audio delay all the time or just me?

Yup I've just had Sky HD installed and Sci Fi HD is always out of sync on my Amstrad box. Sometimes it's not too bad but other times it can be unwatchable. I also find that almost all of the programmes i've recorded on Sci Fi have glitches on playback where the image will suddenly go mushy and multi-coloured. This is a decoding error I believe?

Also the very first time I put Sci Fi HD on they were showing Bionic Woman and the sound was really badly out of sync...then the image paused for a few seconds and the sync was a little better. It kept pausing like this every few mins and each time the sync got better but was never spot on. I wondered if this was Sci Fi themselves trying to resolve the issue?

If I had to guess I think it is a problem with the way Sci Fi is broadcast and perhaps something is upsetting the Sky boxes?

Do Sky and Sci Fi know about this issue? I wonder how long this has been occuring?
