Well Done Eurosport HD

Well done Eurosport HD for todays coverage of HD motorsports today with excellent coverage of WTC,Formula 2 and World Superbikes all of which looked brilliant in HD.

I did some direct comparison between BBC F1 coverage and Eurosport's Formula 2 you could see so much more on the Eurosport picture all the sponsors and colours so much better , just goes to show how F1 productions are missing a trick in not releasing a HD feed.

Re: Well Done Eurosport HD

I grimaced when Brundle praised the FOM coverage during the race, angling for a job when the BBC lose interest in the FIA event next year perhaps

The WTTC coverage is leading the way in terms of PQ for 4 wheel motorsport, shames SKY and the BBC and even ITV for their BTTC.

AFAIK all those events are upscaled? I know WSBK isn't true HD.

Re: Well Done Eurosport HD

The WTCC and Formula 2 race take place at the same circuit and all European rounds are in HD in 2009 and the quality is outstanding, Alfacam outside broadcast have a dedicated HD ob unit for Eurosports coverage of these events.

The world superbikes is a bit of strange one as all previous races and next weeks from Donnington have been upscaled by yesterdays had a lot better picture quality,Native HD DOG and looking at Sat feeds websites there was a HD feed uplinked from the circuit. I suspect this was a technical trial to see how it looked and can be improved on with possible full season in 2010

Any motorsports fans dont forget Sky sports are covering this weekends British speedway GP in HD this is skys annual thing to say they show Speedway in HD which personally I think once a year really counts when they show 35 live British league matches and 11 other GPS all in SD even though HD feeds exist for the GP series
