Incredible Trailers

Just saw Alien at the cinema. It was great but the most mindblowing things were the trailers before the film. Matrix Revolutions, Return of the King, Alien vs Predator. After those three the audience was in total silence. It was like we were in shock. A few days ago, the Scary Movie 3 advert sent the crowd into hysterics.

Anyway, my point.....erm......yes......after seeing those it occured to me that people would probably pay to see trailers, especially if they are to the quality of these. Cinemas could make a killing (more so). It has been widely known that certain fans pay to see features just to watch a new trailer (ie starwars) Would you pay a small fee just to see a loads of decent trailers?

Hi,

I used to love those free Trailer Tapes. that "Empire" gave away, back in the mid-to-late 1990's. I think they released three. I'd certainly like to see a really cool double-disc release, of just nothing but the best and worst of cinema advertising and film trailers.

Wouldn't it be great to have the two "Pearl & Dean" ads (the old version we all grew up with, and the new one used in UGC cinemas), as well as ads for the Kia-Ora drink and some of the Coca Cola ads too? And then add in some of the best and worst film trailers of all time, e.g. "Chicken Run" promo ad, when they are all in the cinema, and all you can see are a load of white eyes staring back at you; the superb trailer for "Se7en", and classics like the Hitchcock Psycho promo, where we meet Mother!

That would be soooo cool!
