'Its (continental research) latest survey of 1,022 people reveals that 18 per cent are planning on downgrading or canceling their Pay TV subscriptions to help balance their household budgets.'

'According to Continental director Tim Barber, consumers always respond to an economic recession by ‘going out less and therefore by implication spend more time at home watching TV.’

I love market research/analysis companies.

So in their research they have concluded that due to the economic downturn people will spend more time at home watching television and they will do this by cutting down on the amount of television available to them
