I thought the whole idea of home cinema kit was that it should be as inobtrusive as possible - I mean, the idea is to watch the picture isn't it, not the kit that's producing it? What's next? Dayglo orange TV sets? Strobing panel lights on DVD players?

Sorry, just the meandering thoughts of an old dinosaur who clings to the quaint belief that form should follow function.
