Re: Sky adds seven more channels to its HD service

Link not working...SEVEN new HD channels...?

Correct linkhere....though whats the betting the new HD movie channels take the place of Screen 1 & 2...?
Sometimes more may not be better...though I'll reserve actual judgement until after the event - though I'm sure some won't.

Re: Sky adds seven more channels to its HD service

More HD film channels are cool but I can't really see myself watching Sky Real Lives though.

I do hope that more channels go HD soon and channels like Sky One HD get more HD shows.

Ah interesting. I actually dropped the movie package due to the lack of HD content. I think I'll be signing up again now.

Just out of interest, how much does it cost to get the HD movies? Anyone know if you have to sign up to the full sky movies package?

Re: Sky adds seven more channels to its HD service

I have the HD already.

That's a shame as I get Eurosport HD, Sky Arts HD and a few others without subscribing to the relevant SD package.

Re: Sky adds seven more channels to its HD service

Generally by the time a film gets broadcast in HD I've already got it on Blu-Ray, if it's any good. So for me, extra movie channels aren't all that interesting. What I'd really like to see is more of the US TV series that are made in HD being broadcast in HD, and more sports events being filmed in HD in the first place. Is anyone else pig sick of Sky Sports HD output largely consisting of tarted-up SD on many evenings?

I also can't work out why HD is being wasted on 'Real Lives' as none of the programmes listed really benefits from being in high def. I'm happy to be corrected on this argument, but I can't believe that the market demographic likely to watch that channel regularly will either have HD or if they have, think that being in HD is a deal clincher.

Re: Sky adds seven more channels to its HD service

I must admit i didnt think id like Sky Movies but since its in HD i was like ok lets give it ago , So its costing me £61 Month for the lot , Sky World i think they call it.

Anyway my point is , its Ace , Ever since i watched my First Sky HD Film acouple weeks ago , I just watch them all now , its really good. And since they have 6 more HD Movie CH coming then i think its good investment since most of the Films they show are good , most of them that iv seen are less then 1 year old from release.

My only problem is the Sky Customer Care ! its Shocking , It will take you well over 20mins for someone to Answer the phone so you can talk to them , Also if you miss 1 payment like i did they will cut of your Sky viewing till you pay them the Full Balance even if you tell them your going to pay in 5 days later they dont care ! I found this very unfair since i am good customer and paying £61 a month , for next 12 months , So when i pay on 25th Sept , I have Basicly Lost 1 months Veiwing because they couldnt wait for my payment ! Kinda sucks to tell the truth but thats Sky for you , They just want you money and thats it ! Money First Care second ? I mean No Care there isnt any , There Rude and thats it.
