Rugby World Cup triggers TV sales bonanza

The Rugby World Cup appears to have given the UK flatscreen TV industry a much-needed boost. New sales data from market analyst Gfk suggests that a staggering 455,000 plasma and LCD TVs were sold in the four week run-up to the event. That’s up 150,000 screens year-on-year.
