It would have been far fairer to have offered a couple of freebies at other regional capitals as well - or do the Scots, the Irish, the Welsh, etc not deserve anything compared with Londoners?
Plus, there's no gainsaying the fact that the PS3 is feature-lite and pricey compared with what other countries have received. |

The feature lite as you refer to above relates to backwards compatibility and the fact that they have removed hardware emulation and chosen to do this via software with consequential issues - they have done a cost cutting exercise on the PS3 and whats worse is that we in the UK / Europe seem, from what reports posted elsewhere claim, pay more an inferior product spec when compared to Japan / USA units. Don't get me wrong I don't have an issue with backwards compatibility but for those who do have a requiremet to play old games then I could well understand their frustrations with Sony.
Incidentally I have an Xbox 360 and PS3 and to be honest don't see much difference in capabilities between the units other that the former has more software availability due to it being released a lot earlier. Personally I think Sony have a lot of catching up to do here with their new PS3 - its okay but not sensational or an order of magnitude better than the X box 360.
