HD DVD no bad thing for Toshiba

Launching HD DVD against Blu-ray does not appear to have harmed Toshiba. Increasing sales of its digital AV and storage products, alongside a solid semiconductor business, has led the Japanese giant to post overall consolidated sales for the nine months ending December 31 2006 of 4,955.3 billion yen, up 472.1 billion yen year on year.
