They just increased the price in Canada, so a drop in price in UK seems very unlikely to me ... Atleast for the near future.

Sony are putting the Canada rise down to the strength (or lack there of) in the Canadian Dollar. Regardless of Sony pricing retailers have already been cutting the price in Japan and America. Many Walmarts have knocked $50 of the price and some Japanese retailers have cut prices by up to 20% to try to shift stock.

I sincerely hope Sony do take a more realistic stab at the pricing before it is too late. They are not selling as well as they should be in the US despite being available from the equivalent of just over £250 ($499).
