51GB HD DVD disc format announced

Toshiba has succeeded in extended the data capacity of HD DVD. The Corporation has used the Las Vegas CES to unveil a triple-layer HD DVD-ROM with a capacity of 51 gigabytes.The new ROM disc has a three-layer structure, with each layer storing 17GB of data, able to store up to 7 hours of high-definition video.
