Re: Sky Digital unleashes raft of new channels

sky would be better putting channels out that we would watch, how about chn.5,chn.4 and the itv package.we have enough music and shopping channels as for real madrid.more channels does not mean better quality.

I couldn't agree more. Seeing bandwidth squandered in this way is just plain depressing. More channels = diluting quality even further.

Have to agree with the above too. These extra channels don't offer much for me and I would prefer to have quality channels added instead of this sub standard content which just squanders more bandwidth.

Re: Sky Digital unleashes raft of new channels

I would prefer to see an alternative to SKY altogether, what with no competition they've had it all their own way for far too long. That would make the service better. (Cable doesn't count, as it's far too sparse).

I don't know anyone who actually likes SKY, we tolerate it. Take last night, the missus was watching Angel on sci-fi I think it was, every 10 mins there is a bl...y advert, and it is the EXACT same adverts, not even a choice on that either!!!!

This has nothing to do with Sky as this is controlled by sci-fi. But I do agree with you far to many adverts on some of the channels and they just loop all day long on the sci-fi channel.

Some times I pause during the adverts from my sky+ and then use the fast forward.

Re: Sky Digital unleashes raft of new channels

I like sky, but only because there's nothing else on the market. I will not pay for the HD service as currently IMO it's not worth the extra outlay. The sooner someone comes up with an alternative the better

Re: Sky Digital unleashes raft of new channels

Technically the latest sky+ 160 is the best Ive tried for record, chase and series record if only it had a dvd writer and a network connection...
Ive tried a humax hdmi for HD and though quality was superb on BBC HD couldnt justify it without buying a motorised bigger dish to receive more free channels..
I think sky hd is expensive and multi room a rip off ..

I'm moving to a freeview dvr as soon as my contract runs out....dont seem to get the blocking or stuttering (on a freeview receiver) caused by sky shoving too much down the pipe and what a load of tripe, who picks these channels, they must be cheapies...
