WHY OH WHY Analogue tuners, every tom, dick and harry knows switching off of analogue will begin within 2yrs and yet manufacturers keep bringing out products lacking digital tuners. Maybe there hoping we will all buy new gear again in two years.

probably because people in digital areas can still get analogue while people in analogue areas cant get digital.

besides in 3 years time i would probably want to get a new recorder anyway!!

analogue tuners with tv

DVB-T tuners are very cheap, yet when they put one in a TV price goes up tenfold! Therefore, it's best to buy a TV without DVB-T and buy a separate tuner. The worst thing about TVs are the scarts - they are bulky, unwieldy; no wonder the Americans haven't fallen for it, but big brothers and HSE rule OK this side of the Atlantic.
