"Although IXOS® HDMI cables are engineered to pass 1080p, you do not have to have a 1080p display to see the difference. All resolutions benefit with rich vibrant colours, and sharper, more defined images..."

Why do manufacturers continue to exploit people's ignorance of how digital signals work and try to sell cables using terms which only apply to analogue.
The colour of each pixel is represented digitally, and therefore there is no colour shift due to signal degredation, unless the signal quality reaches the point where far more serious problems become apparent.

Cheers, Beastie.

"All resolutions benefit with rich vibrant colours, and sharper, more defined images, because the cable must be of substantially higher quality to transmit 1080p than to transmit 720p/1080i."

Someone please tell me that this is more marketing sweettalk!?!
Why would a cable "care" whether the signal is 720p, 1080i or 1080p?!?
