Later on in the press release they confirm that non HDCP screens (be they plasma, lcd or CRT) will not be 'allowed' to display the HD signal (which means 90 odd % of plasma/lcd screens in use atm)

But it's not 100% that you won't get a 'downconverted' signal out of it, is it ?
