Its funny how things change over time, and how perceptions change. You just couldnt imagine this now.

On another note, I hate it when the PM use things like this to gain approval. He should have used a spokesman for the government and all the other parties IMO.

I don't see what it's got to do with the PM. There are any number of random events that occurred throughout history that he could apologise for and it would have the same relevance as this, ie none. Or he could have a stab at trying to run the country. On the other hand, I think I should apologise for such a silly suggestion. Lessons have been learned.
