I work for a company that provides web GIG solutions e.g. enabling a company to put all its business intelligence on a map and using the map to search, filter, visualise and extract the data.

We have been developing a semantic engine for 3 years now for our job portal . This enables the computer to 'understand' every noun, verb, adverb etc in unstructured text (such as a CV). So it understands the difference, for example, of "I AM a project manager" or "I reported to the project manager". It also understands every previous role, length of time in it, skills used etc. Clever stuff.
