UK troops to get new body armour

This is great news! Having spent 22 years in the infantry, I saw a change of helmet in the mid 1980's from the old steel "tin bin" to the kevlar Mk6. While the Mk6 was head and shoulders above the tin bin, the Mk6 still had loads of flaws - particularly as pointed out in the article when in the prone position or when wearing PNG's...when crawling, the helmet would fall forward so you couldn't see where you were going and I often ended up falling into trenches that I was meant to post grenades into...

I never wore the body armour that they're talking about as it wasn't available at the time - though having spoken to many soldiers that have worn it, this will be a welcome relief.

The only downside really is that the US army and Marine Corps have had it for years...

Whilst important to the troops this relates to AV how?
