Hello UserGermany

I assume if I am reading this correctly its just happened with the 4.31 software already installed and have you tried pulling the plug out the back and leaving it for 5 mins.

Hi,

I now this error code from the av32r dp's, it is the power supply.

There is a guy in the UK, Kevin Green, which everybody recommends here in the forum. You can run a search here. He will presumably be able to help you and if you wish repair the unit. You can write him an email.

I'm from Germany too ;-)

Thank you... Is it a frequent problem on TAG?

I think they were designed to perform at their best from the moment you turn them on. part of this means having components warned up and ready to go instantly, which means that powering off doesn't power down the power supply. Since Kevin fixed mine, I've taken to powering it off at the power socket.

I think kevin is probably going to be your best bet - some of the parts are not that easy to find these days.

I hope this helps.

Edward.

Well, even if in Standby, the unit is still "on", only the Display is turned off (warm units sound better from the start). Having in mind the the last units are from 2005, in best case your unit is now 7years old and having the unit all the time "on" I think you can count with some sort of degradation over time. This fault is now known over the years.

I had thought it was only the AV32R (DP) with its weaker PSU, but obviously even the Av192r can be affected.

Still, this is one of the best sounding units out there you have, just let someone change the PSU and your probably good to go for the next 7-10years, at least I would do so

I have baught it second hand 2 years ago and have it connected for about 5 hours daily: 2-3hours warming up, 2-3 hours listening. I ve just given it to a local service station; but they cannot repair it for they dont have schematics. Does anybody have a schmeatic of the power supply?

Very very bad idea to give it to service station that has never done the repair before. It is very easy to brick the unit (=destroy)! It is obviously that don't have a clue, so take it back and send it to somebody who knows what he is doing.

Kevin is definitely the man - he knows every single detail of AV192R like the back of his hand.

He has repaired my AV192R on two occasions, with very very reasonable cost .

I'd go along with that too. Its not just a matter of having the schematic, you also need expertise and the right parts - and they're both scarce these days.
