yup...it is very good already isn't it. Can't believe they are calling this an alpha build!! Just need some hardware acceleration for working flash and it's perfect.

I had a modded buildprop on my CM7 install for better market compatibility. I assume this works on CM9 as well?? any one tried yet??

Flash works on mine, just download it from the market. What was the market problem cos mine works. The only issue I have is the so called 'sleep of death' that occurs occasionally, but such is the quality of the build that I'm happy to work around it.

Yes flash works fine on mine for websites in general but not for BBC iPlayer or Netflix due to lack of hardware acceleration.

btw..I had sleep of death constantly in CM7 (despite trying all the patches/fixes) not had it once in CM9 though

Actually I've had to take android off now because of the sleep of death. Tried everything but to no avail.

That's bizarre as i had loads of Sleep of death issues on CM7 but not a single occurrence on CM9. Which install method did you use?

I just upgraded from CM7 to CM9 using ACMEInstaller2 script I didn't even wipe cache

Sounds just like the problem I had with cm7 , I had to delete out the saved security key, restart the tablet, then connect to the network for it to work. A few times of this and it stopped of its own accord

Installed ICS on my touchpad and it's running flawlessly, was thinking of selling it and getting a transformer but with the this CM9 build, it's like having a Transformer now.

The only thing I need now is the flash to work so I can watch some pron on it.

Mine was a fresh install of CM9 using the ACMEInstaller2, previously to that I had not installed Android at all. I wiped re-downloaded all files and flashed again but to no avail. I even tried installing CM7.3 then upgrading. In all cases it works ok initially then freezes every single time it goes to sleep regardless of what hacks I use.

I've put cm9 on mine and the problem i'm having is buying apps from the android market, i keep getting the following error:

"the item you were attempting to purchase could not be found"

Free apps download fine, anyone else had this or know what the problem could be?

my wifi seems to drop out every now and then and i have to turn off the wifi and turn it back on the get a connection

I done a full factory reset on my Touchpad before I installed CM9, so I didn't have CM7 or anything installed on WebOS either.

Haven't got any issues yet, battery life seems much better than CM7. Stanman, go to Webos and select 'Erase everything' and install CM9.05 again.

That's what I did, uninstalled CM7 first then did a full erase on webos then installed CM9 from scratch....ICS is running very well apart from the known issue with flash not working on sites....hopefully should be a fix to this soon.

Small update released;
Quote:
Alpha0.6 Release notes:

Another minor release. While working on bigger problems that will take a while I wanted to push out an update for some things that have happened in the last few days. This is primarily to get Flemmard's work out for more testing. This contains the start of CyanogenMod settings. However, most of the settings are not functional on tablets yet.

With this release I will also provide two flashable zips to allow you to easily switch between lcd density 120 and 160. The default is still 160 because it offers the greatest compatibility. Any lcd density value between 160 and 120 will ruin market compatibility. For those that would like a "higher resolution" look and feel, you may flash the 120 lcd density update.zip. This will copy a new build.prop and will update the launcher for proper display. I strongly recommend changing the font size in Settings->System->Fonts if you chose to do this. The 160 lcd density update is provided to easily revert the change.•Touchscreen fixes

•Ability to hide the combined bar(navigation buttons and clock) for full screen. This uses the ICS api so it will require app support(not all apps have been updated). This is an option under Settings->[Interface]->System->Combined Bar (Credits to Flemmard)

•Scrollable quick settings. This will require tweaking later to allow it to be bigger on the Touchpad but fixes overflow issue on 7" tablets with the new Bluetooth toggle. (Credits to Flemmard)

•Reboot to recovery is working via the power menu(hold down power button). Note: reboot will sometimes shutdown rather than rebooting.

•Preliminary support for Rom Manager. In order to use this you will need Rom Manager Premium because it is not official yet. In order to use it you will need to execute "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" in Rom Manager. Confirm the model is cm_tenderloin, say yes that you have installed manually, and check ClockworkMod 3.x. Now you can use Rom Manager to flash update.zips. Official support should come soon.

•Other general changes from syncing with latest changes

Can someone who has made a warranty claim with their Touchpad tell me what the procedure is? Do you need the actual receipt? I am interested in buying a nearly new one. The person selling it bought if from someone who got lucky in the firesale and so does not have a receipt.
It is working fine at the moment - but reading about the problems others have had I want to cover myself.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi guys. Looking into getting another tablet to go along with my iPad. The wife hogs the iPad as well.

Just wondered is it easy to put ICS onto the touchpad and does it run well? Do all the usual android features work along with the marketplace?

Good Morning Chaps,

Some of you may be interested in this little bargain. HP are selling the TouchPad Case for £5 and the Touchstone Charger for the measly price of £15. I've just ordered both, postage is free making it even more of a bargain! :-)

Your HP Store item - TOUCHSTONE CHARGING DOCK F/SLATES EU

Your HP Store item - Cover/Stand Topaz (FB343AA#AC3)

cheers,

rob.

Just be aware that these are from the HP Employee store so orders from non HP Email addresses may get cancelled

Thanks for the heads up. Just bought a touchpad from the classifieds so also tried my luck with this. It's worth a shot and a good deal if it doesn't get cancelled.

Btw I'm going to be banging ICS on it as soon as I get it. Found this guide to doing it:

[GUIDE] CM9 for your Touchpad - Android Forums

Will that do the trick or are there better guides out there?

Got my Touchpad on Friday from Gumtree.
I used this last night - took about 45 mins - made sure I read the guide first several times:
How to install Android 4.0 on the HP TouchPad (CyanogenMod 9 Alpha) - Liliputing

Just had to install Gapps manually via the ClockworkMod bit once CM9 was installed.

Ok thanks for the link. Whats ICS like on it? Any issues and is it smooth?
With Android installed do you get an option to dual boot with webOS?
