Best sub for WAF

Merry christmas all,

as the title says I am on the lookout for a sub with a high WAF. One of the only ones I have found so far that has been accepted is this B&O one:

BeoVox Cona Passive Subwoofer
Unfortunately I need an active sub so that will not do.

Its going to be used for both stereo music listening and surround for movies. I have 2 x minipod for fronts and 2 x micropod for surround.

Any suggestions welcome

As I dont have one of them disaggreable things (a wife that is) I am not really in a position to help much but you could make a mock up of an ED A7 900 after that a pb ultra will be accepted. If that doesnt work you could try a BK gemini.

Re: Best sub for WAF

Look, they're never going to be happy so buy something that will actually deliver performance without being entirely offensive in terms of room presence.

A 12" cubed down firing sub is ideal, because you can always stand a plant (or something) on it and the best for sensible money is the BK XLS-200 for £289.

If that's still not acceptable, then you really need to get a hold of your balls and insist that that there are two people who live in your house and both of them have valid opinions.

If that's another unrealistic proposition, then you need counselling, not an AV forum.

Re: Best sub for WAF

Just to add , the B and O thing hardly qualifies as a subwoofer if its limit is 40hz. I also assume its a fair wadge of cash , dont bother with it.
