Question Help On Subwoofer for New Toshiba 40XF355D

Hi Guys,

I've recently purchased a Toshiba 40XF355D and whilst the sound is great I feel as the tv has a connection for a subwoofer, it could do with one, problem being I have no idea what type or brand I should go for?

Any help on ideas would be greatfully appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Help On Subwoofer for New Toshiba 40XF355D

Do you have a budget in mind? Any other constraints on size, style etc?

The wee BK Minotaur at £149 has been used in this role in the past and would provide a decent starting point, plus it'll deal with a separate surround amplifier and speakers if (when ) you chose to go that route.

Whatever, remember to set the subwoofer output to 'ON' in the Toshibas sound menus, as this should redirect bass away from the TVs internal speakers which will help clarity at all volumes. I say should, because the manual is typically vague in this respect.
