Where do i start....and what else will i need?

1. Should i go ported or selaed?
2. What size enclosures will i need - is there any software that will help me find this out?

There are the only things i can think off.. what else will i need?

Hi

The software is the easiest one to answer so I will start with that WinIsd free to download here:- http://www.linearteam.dk/default.asp...load=winisdpro

sealed, with a PR and vented

Re: Peerless XXLS DIY Home Theatre Sub Help

Cheers asdonk.

You might be able to help...

Im going for a home theatre sub primarily but will also be listening to music too of all genres.

Pardon me if this is a stupid quesiton but which is most likely to sound better for this purpose..ported or sealed? I want the outcome to be smooth and accurate bass (and a littly punchy too???

Cheers

Re: Peerless XXLS DIY Home Theatre Sub Help

in the past I have build the sealed xxls12 in a 62 liter enclosure
good with music, but it did not go that low
for movies you get the best results with the neted xxls12
it will go lower in the bass and also a little louder
you can use a plate amp from BK for example the BSBP300

Re: Peerless XXLS DIY Home Theatre Sub Help

at BK Electronics, is the same plate amp as used in the BK Monolith
for the same money you can also use the BSBVP300 with bassboost
