BK Black finishes
Hello,
I would like to order a BK subwoofer in a black finish. But only if it has a wood -look. On the BK site I can only see this with the Monolith. So, have the black finisches for the XLS200, Gemini, Minotaur a more 'just black' look? Are the also 'black-wood' look?

Best thing to do is phone and ask. They do custom finishes, not sure if they do that though.

You are correct. Black Ash is Monolith only as standard.
Marek Sound's (BKs Finnish importer) website shows a few other finishes that we don't get offered, but as suggested a phone call often turns up trumps with special requests.

Give them a call, I asked BK nicely and have my XLS200 in black ash like the Monolith  They couldn't be more helpful

Just out of interest, what made you go for the gemini over the xls200?

Hello,
Wel I think I don't really need the additional power of the XLS200 (275 vs 150W), and my budget was arround 300€.
The Gemini was in my opinion the best sub for my speakers (Kef Cresta 30, 20 and 10). Plus the Gemini has a info display, which will help my setting it up.
First I looked at the MJ Acoustics Pro 50 MKII (120W) and the Rel Quake (100W). The Gemini has a 150 W amplifier. Also the Gemini is the heaviest, wich most of the times is a good sign and has the best price!
