Subwoofer in Zone 2

Hi

I posted this on the Onkyo board to no avail so thought I'd try here as it's sub related (wasn't sure whether to post here or on receiver board)

I'm thinking of running some speakers from the zone 2 outs on my Onkyo 805, the speakers would have to be small hence I was thinking about getting a small sub to complement them. Am I limited to high level inputs? If so, are there any receivers/processors that provide .1 in multizone outputs?

Cheers
Matt

Re: Subwoofer in Zone 2

I've never seen that ability.
It's usually just vanilla stereo.

Re: Subwoofer in Zone 2

If you are using the spare surround back amps on the receiver to drive zone 2 speakers, and if your receiver has Zone 2 pre-outs as well, you could use the left right to connect at low level to the sub and use the subs crossover to get the right level for the zone 2 speakers.
