BK Minotaur/Gemini or XLS200 for Kef Cresta surround setup - Belgian enthousiast
Hello,
I have a Kef Cresta surround setup (2x30,1x20,2x10) with a Sony STR-DG710 receiver. Works just fine! But I just can't resit bying a subwoofer.
I already have chosen for BK after some intensive research on the internet (first checked out REL and MJ acoustics).
Can someone help me with choosing the best BK sub for the setup I already have? Gemini or XLS200, maybe Minotaur? My preference goes out to the Gemini because of the price but maybe the Minotaur is enough or maybe the XLS200 is necessary?
Please some feedback!
btw: I'm from Belgium and this forum is really great!

It's a simple choice.
They're all good subs, but the XLS200 is the best.
If you can afford it buy it.

Hi,
I already understood that they all are good. But wouldn't the XLS200 be to much for the Kef Cresta's?

What do you mean 'too much'?

I'm not sure what you mean by "too much", but if you mean will it deliver too much bass, then no. It goes deeper, more cleanly than the other subs mentioned and can go louder if required.
How loud/how much bass is up to you. If it is too loud, just turn it down, but deeper lower distortion sub-bass is preferable with any speakers at any volume.
It'll sound odd, but the better the bass, the better the Crestas will sound.
