Pictures please BK and SVS subs

A while ago I had some really helpful advice which helped me narrow down my sub choice.
It was for a 18x12ft room, to go with
Marantz Sr7002
Monitor Audio Radius 225 speakers -x 5

and an upgrade from a MJ Acoustics Pro 50.

I auditioned a Monitor Audio RSW12 and was quite impressed so want something at least as good as that.

Following the excellant advice my short list is
BK XLS 300 Mk2 £389
BK Monolinth DF £406
SVS PB10 £395
SVS PB12 NSD £420
SVS SB12+ £ £430

I was involving my wife in the final choice and she asked what they look like. I have found a few odd images and the manufacturers websites but would be really grateful if you could post images of the above in "real room".

Also any further comments would be helpful.

I want it to sound brilliant but be really easy to set up.

Cheers
Gareth

Re: Pictures please BK and SVS subs

Hi Gareth

I know you've seen the pic of my monolith in the other thread. I'd just add that I've found there seems to be a trend that smaller subs seem to be more easily identified as speakers by non-av people. Going bigger seems to disguise them! My mum thought the monolith was just a tasteful cabinet :D

So from what I've found, you'd either need to go small enough to hide properly (then who wants a sub that small!) or hide it in plain sight by being bigger than most people would expect. Stick a lamp on it or whatever and it becomes a nice piece of furniture.

Re: Pictures please BK and SVS subs

it would be useful to have a thread with pictures of all subs in. It would make buying so much easier. Not separate for each make just one big long sub picture thread.

Any chance of it happening?

If you click on the little paper clip symbol to the right of each thread title, it will bring up all of the attached files in that thread.

FWIW, if you can accomodate the larger designs on that list, I can't see the point in including the smaller ones.
