non-magneticly sheilded sub!

HI guys.

how close is too close to place a non-magneticly sheilded sub and a plasma?

Im concerned as i want my sub at the front of the room but the best i can do is 600mm away from my plasma.

i want to place rear of the floor speaker, the plasma is usually mounted on the wall.

thanks
Simon

Re: non-magneticly sheilded sub!

Plasma TVs are not affected by magnets at all, therefore you can place it as close as you like. Magnetic shielding is only for protecting CRT televisions from magnetic fields in speakers.

Re: non-magneticly sheilded sub!

Very doubtful.
Those have highly tuned circuits that shouldn't be affected.
And are sat in a metal box.
The biggest problem comes via mains interference.

Re: non-magneticly sheilded sub!

Plain electric, the stuff that comes out of your plug sockets.

Problems are more likely to come from your fridge, central heating etc, cutting in and out, which can result in clicks and pops, is what I was thinking.
