Connecting up a REL Q100E, help needed

Hi,

I have had a REL Q100E for around 5 years, it has been connected to my old Pioneer VSA E06 using the Neutrik speakon connector, getting the signal from the frount the left and right stereo channels.

I've now replaced the Pioneer with a Onkyo 674 and would like to connect the sub by the subwoofer pre out socket, to keep things tidier, but the Onkyo only has one socket for the subwoofer pre out, while the REL has 2, one red and one white labelled left and right (mono).

I can't find my instructions for the REL and am not sure which socket on the REL to connect to (left or right), or if I need a special cable that converts one output into the 2 inputs.

Also, would there be any disadvantage to connecting the sub via the phono inputs over the neutrik connection?

Hi mate,

All REL's have two inputs like that, just incase you have an amp with two outputs.

Just use plug your woofer output into the right input.

P.S.
By the way you need both the Neutrik speakon connector (for music) and the subwoofer line out (for the LFE channel in movies) connected for best results.
