REL Quake VS BK Xl200

please help as I am new in this world of Home cinema

I have a REL Quake Sub and looking to replace it. I was thinking of BK Xl200 as it has been appreciated by numerous people. my setup is following:

Denon DVD 1400 (DVD player)
Yamaha RX-V795a RDS(AV Receiver)
Mission M73 Speakers Package

Please help me in choosing a good subwoofer. Although REL is producing good enough bass for my room, But I am not satisfied with it and looking for something which is not really expensive but at the same time better than REL Quake.

many thanks

Re: REL Quake VS BK Xl200

Hi
The BK XLS200 is a pretty big step up from the Quake. It offers better extension and a bit more output from a compact enclosure. If size isn't an issue you also really need to consider the BK Monolith, yes it is a big box but boy will it reward you with effortless output with true extension below 20Hz.
I have owned a XLS200 which is a good sub so long as you aren't expecting room shaking bass. If you need a compact sub and you can push your budget to £500 also take a look at the SVS SB12+ which is well respected and offer a single band room EQ.

Cheers
